Skimmia general information

Slow growing evergreen shrub with aromatic foliage and spring flowers followed by berries. Male and female plants both sexes required for production of berries. Poor soil or too much sun can cause chlorosis (yellowing of leaves).

Soil Type: Fertile moist soil.
Position: Frost hardy. Needs shade or semi-shade.
Maintenance: Only cut back to shape if required

A dwarf evergreen shrub forming a compact moundwith dark green leathery leaves often with a pale margin. Flowers hermaphrodite and the small white flowers in May are followed by matt crimson-red berries that lasts throughout the winter. Height and spread up to 90cm (3ft).
