Callistemon general information

Bottlebrush.
Evergreen shrub with narrow pointed leaves grown for theircluster of flowers on a stalk resembling a bottle-brush at varying times of early to late summer depending on species.

Soil Type: Fertile well-drained soil. Does not like shallow chalky soils.
Position: From frost tender to frost hardy depending on species, see individual plant. In cool situations near a south or south-west facing wall. Like the sun.
Maintenance: Tidy up and prune back in autumn if necessary.
