Berberis general information

Often referred to as barberry.
They have sharp spines making them ideal plants to stop intruders. Their foliage can often be spiny in a holly like way. There are evergreen and deciduous varieties and have a range of colours in the leaves, flowers and berries.

Soil Type: Any soil as long as not waterlogged.
Position: Frost hardy. Grows anywhere, lighter leaf coloured variteties prefer sun or partial shade.
Maintenance: Trim as necessary for desired shape.
